2011 Maine Black Bear Hunt

Maine Black Bear Hunting

In the Famous Haynesville Woods

One week for only: $1750.00 per hunter

Providing only quality bear hunts in prime bear area. Includes 6 days bear hunting over bait, lodging, guide service, transportation to sites, bear retrieval, and meals. Fishing in local rivers and streams for brook trout and bass is available within walking distance (fishing license is required).  For rifle hunts we recommend .30 caliber or larger and handguns no less than a .41 Magnum. Archers are welcome for bear hunting, please let us know if you plan to hunt archery. Maine Bear Hunting is second to none, please give us a call.

 

 

New Week 4 Hound hunt in Morning and over bait in Afternoon for only: $2500.00 per hunter

In addition to the normal hunting over bait, you will be given the chance to hunt bear with hounds in the morning. Enjoy breakfast cooked to order, then jump in our guides truck and let the hounds bay the bear. This will double your opportunity at taking the bear of your dreams.

Arrival Sunday 3 PM, Departure following Sunday 10 AM. A $500.00 deposit is required at time of booking, $500.00 due April 1, 2012; balance is due 60 days prior to hunt by check or in CASH upon arrival. All deposits are non-refundable.

Any cancellation with less than 90 days to your hunt will be responsible for the full cost of the hunt.

2011 Statistics: 32 Hunters, 38 Bear Opportunities, 14 Bear Killed, 0 Misses, and 7 Wounded.

2010 Statistics: 22 Hunters, 28 Bear Opportunities, 11 Bear Killed, 5 Misses, and 4 Wounded.

2009 Statistics: 17 Hunters, 21 Bear Opportunities, 11 Bear Killed, 0 Misses, and 0 Wounded.

It is a good idea to purchase your hunting license on-line at www.maine.gov/ifw before you arrive in camp. There are several locations in Maine where a hunting license can be purchased, but remember proof of previously holding an adult hunting license or proof of taken a safety course is required to purchase a big game license in Maine.
